Artisan hands weaving on a traditional loom

Our story

Woven with love, made to last

Babymoon was born from a belief that the clothes closest to your baby's skin should be as gentle, natural, and considered as the hands that made them.

Where it all began

Babymoon began at a loom in a small studio in the English countryside, where our founder — a mother herself — grew frustrated with the sea of synthetic, mass-produced babywear on the market.

She had learned to weave from her grandmother, and it was at that loom she realised: the most precious garments for the most precious people in our lives should be made by hand, with intention, and with materials that honour both baby and planet.

Every piece in the Babymoon collection is still hand-woven in that same tradition — slow, considered, and made to be treasured.

The weaving process

Hand-weaving is an unhurried craft. Each garment takes hours to create — and that is exactly the point.

01

Warping the loom

We begin by threading each strand of yarn across the loom by hand, setting the foundation for the fabric's structure and drape.

02

Weaving the cloth

Shuttle by shuttle, row by row, the fabric grows. No two pieces are identical — each carries the quiet mark of the hands that made it.

03

Finishing & garment making

Once woven, the cloth is washed, pressed, and cut before being sewn into its final form. Every seam is checked by hand before it leaves our studio.

Materials we believe in

We source only natural, traceable fibres — chosen for how they feel against newborn skin and how lightly they sit on the earth.

Organic cotton

Soft, breathable, and grown without pesticides. Our cotton is GOTS-certified and kind to sensitive skin.

Merino wool

Naturally temperature-regulating and wonderfully soft. Our merino is ethically sourced from small farms committed to animal welfare.

Linen

Durable, hypoallergenic, and only gets softer with every wash. Our linen is European-grown and undyed where possible.

Natural yarn skeins in soft neutral tones

What we stand for

Slow fashion

We make in small batches, never overproduce, and design pieces that outlast a single season — or a single child.

Natural materials only

No synthetics, no blends. Every fibre we use is natural, traceable, and chosen with care.

Handmade always

Every garment is made by hand. That means longer lead times and limited quantities — and clothing that carries real meaning.

Honest pricing

We price fairly to reflect the true cost of handmade craft and ethical materials — never cutting corners to compete with fast fashion.

"A Babymoon piece is not just clothing. It is a small act of care — for your baby, for the maker, and for the world they will grow up in."
